I came across this article, and I have to wonder if they misquoted the time the dog and handler trained at the school. It says three months, but that seems kinda fishy to me. No idea... Thoughts?

In the meantime, I'm off shortly to help out with the weekly Braille class, as per usual. Take care all, more later. A real update to come sometime soon.

Hi Liz... I think you're right...generally guide dogs spend 3 months in training. The first two months it's just a group of dogs with their trainer. The person who is visually impaired who will become the user usually is there only for the third month. You already knew that. The reporter got it mixed up. Take care... John

I figured that's what it was and the article was misquoted. I guess there *could* be special circumstances where a person needs to stay longer, (I actually know of that happening), but not for three months. (Although, I would definitely stay three months, especially for the food!).
