Must, wake, up

I've been up since around quarter after eight, but it definitely doesn't feel like it. I'm still feeling very much tired, and I can't seem to wake up for the life of me. I thought writing an entry might help the process, but I'm even doubting that.

Yesterday after I wrote went fine enough. I went to my History class, where we watched a movie through part of it, and I found myself dozing off. Why do I always do that? I'd really like to know. Maybe it's because I can't actually *see* the movie, and just have the audio to go on...I don't know, but I do know that eight times out of tem, I manage to catch myself dozing off. I'm usually fine after that, though, and can stay awake for the rest of the class. We also got our exams back yesterday, but I didn't here my name called, and due to everyone crowding the isle to get down to the front, I figured sending an email to my prof would be the best thing, which is what I did. I haven't heard back as of yet.

Swimming was fun, even though I sometimes don't know what work on when I go, but I always end up figuring something out. I also worked on my programming assignment some more, and each individual file compiles what I believe is correctly--it produces the correct resulting file--but when I try to compile all of the files together to actually make the executable, it still talks about undefined references to a particular function. Very frustrating, and, to me, very nonsencical. If all of the files compiled fine by themselves, I don't see why I should be getting such errors. I'm thinking of emailing either my prof or TA later today to ask about it.

I guess I should actually end this and start being productive. I have to meet someone at ten to fill out a form to get a key to the technology center in the library, and I have an appointment with my Linguistics prof at 10:30. I also have my Linguistics group session at 12:30, and Anthropology at 3:30. Today hopefully shouldn't be too bad. After all is said and done, I'll be free of classes until Monday. I of course have work to do, but it isn't that much, and it will get done. On that note, I leave you, and will update later. Welcome to Untechnically Technicaly Friday!

Movies.

I actually do the same thing, and I think it's because we don't have anything to entertain our non-working eyes, and the only thing we do have is the audio. And with those type of movies, the person sort of drones on and on ... so it gets rather boring. At least sighted people can look around the room and catch their friends sleeping. Lol ...

Haha, yes, too true. It also doesn't help if the movie being watched has little to no dialogue whatsoever in it... My Anthropology prof has shown at least two movies like that, and they're quite boring from my standpoint. lol

Hmm that's quite weird. Maybe it has something to do with headers. What options did you use to compile the files? Something like gcc -c -o program.o program.c? Or did you use Gcc at all?

Hey. Yeah, as I told you on messenger, I figured it out, and it's all good now.

Yes, I use gcc.

Do you tune out equally when watching a DVS movie? If not, you might want to have a classmate assigned to describe the movie to you. I recall asking my professors to have movies described, and sometimes they did it themselves. I had movies described to me in class throughout my childhood. If nothing else, it will give you a legitimate reason to talk, which will hopefully keep you awake. At least that's better than sleeping through the movie and missing everything.

I don't watch DVS movies often, (sometimes they can give too much information), but no, I don't fall asleep when I do.

Professors and other students have described movies to me in the past, just not in this class.
