I'm looking around on youtube for clips of the Democratic Convention, and I came across some. I wanted to put links to some of the speeches here for future reference, and also for those of you who may not be keeping up with the coverage, but who are interested in it. First off, we have Michell Obama's speech from Monday night. I missed it when it originally aired, and I just watched it before posting this entry. The end when Obama appears via satellite from Kansas City and his two girls are there was really moving, I thought. It definitely showed a family side of him. Next, there's Hillary Clinton's speech from Tuesday night. This speech was also very well done. Also, here's a speech given by Ted Kennedy. I hadn't watched this, either, before posting this entry as I'd missed its original airing. Some parts of the speech cut out - I think it's the camera - but it's not that noticeable that it ruins the speech content. Then we have Bill Clinton speaking at the 2008 DMC. Like the two others, I had missed this in its original airing and so watched it right before posting this entry. Actially, I'll still be watching it when this posts due to its time length.
[Edit:] I wanted to also post Joe Biden and Obama's speeches as well. Joe's speech is in three parts, ( Part 1, Part 2, Part 3). Obama's speech is here. It's not a youtube link, but rather a link from NPR. Once clicked, you can easily get to the audio of the speech by going down to the first heading entitled "Transcript: Barrak Obama's Acceptance Speech" and clicking the Listen link right after that. Actually, for easier use, here's the link that will take you directly to the audio. I'm not sure if there's video on this one or not. There is video on youtube, but all of the videos I could find were separated in to multiple parts, and I didn't want to have to do all that HTML coding by hand. That, and it's just easier to go to as few places/links as possible to listen.
Anyway, I think that's all of the important links I wanted to get up here. Take care all, and hopefully some of you will benefit from this.
