Just waking up

I realize it's been forever and a day since I put an appearance in this thing, and so figured I'd rectify that. Things as of late have been fine. I've just been hanging at the apartment, reading, relaxing, and generally taking it easy. I spent this past weekend out of town and came home yesterday evening. I had a really nice weekend, which is always a good thing. Father's Day was on Sunday, and I called my grandfather to wish him a happy day. In all honesty, I consider him more of a father to me than my own father. I think I've talked about that in this journal before, two years back or so around this same time. In any event, I don't much feel like going into it here and now. It really is his loss if he doesn't want to keep in contact with his kids, not mine. I'm over it, and it doesn't bother me. I'm all for surrounding myself with the people who do love and care about me.

In other news, I'm a week or so behind on the Friends' page, for which I do apologize. I'm going to do my best to try and catch up. I had started to do so, and then the weekend came and I wasn't able to check it, which messed my aforementioned progress up completely. Ah well. I haven't forgotten about all of you, honest. Sometimes I wonder if I'll have any friends left one of these days. Haha!

I think that's about all for this entry. I have a few errands to run today, and I think the family is going out to dinner, which should be fun times. I haven't seen my mom in awhile, either, and am looking forward to that. Alright, I guess it's off to feed a certain yellow mutt, finish waking up, and then put a start to this day.
