Pardon the subject, I didn't feel like leaving it blank, and just came up with that upon opening the journal client.
Since I wrote last, life has been relatively full of nothing too in particular, but I have grown somewhat use to that s of late as it's summer and I don't usually have a whole lot to do. I attended my University of Delaware orientation today, which was informative--for lack of a better word--and I got to register for classes among other things, yay! My schedule actually isn't too bad; I have a Science class entitled Geological Hazzards or something, which looked fun and exciting, so we'll see. I'm doing a BS Computer Science major as opposed to a BA, because: (A) it's fun and I want to; the courses are more what I want, anyway, and (B) the BA has different electives I had to take within the CS field, and most if not all of the courses that I wanted to take were a requirement for the BS major, and I would have taken them anyway as electives, so why not just do a BS degree and get it all over with at once, and I think that if I continue on any further with this run-on sentence, it would be very bad indeed, so why not end it here? I'm taking four other courses, 16 credits in total, but I can't remember exactly what the names of them are. I'm taking a Programming course that is probably comparable to CS2 at IC, although I'm not sure which language I'll be programming in. I'm taking a Calculus/Geometry course that meets I believe four times a week including, (lucky me), 8 AM on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Math first thing in the morming, we'll see how well I do, although I'm sure I'll live. When I can remember/look up the rest of the courses, I'll post them, if only for my future reference.
I received another email from the Reference Librarian dude today asking if I could help out with another presentation to a class on July 14. I'm not too sure what exactly this presentation is about, but I wrote him back and said that I would help as I really do enjoy helping with that sort of stuff, and besides, it's fun :). I've also been asked to speak on August 10 at some kind of Transition Day put on by the state Blind Services agency, which I agreed to doing as well. It's their first year for doing this thing, and I'm again not sure what it's all about, but I'm suppose to speak about my college experiences and I guess whatever else they want me to blabber about for however amount of time I'm allotted to speak.
I also called Freedom Scientific back to just varify that my order wehtn through yesterday for my Pac Mate, and besides the fact that the 40-cell Braille displays are apparently on backorder, I should get my unit within 3-4 weeks; very cool indeed.
That's all the news I have to report for now. That, and I think I started 99.99999999% of the sentences in this entry with "I," something which is very very not cool, something that I almost never do, and something that I don't really know why I did. Ah well, it happens. More when I have it.
