One of my favorite pieces of poetry
Jan. 11th, 2005 06:49 pmI've actually been meaning to find and put thos particular poem into my journal for the past while now, but I haven't gotten around to it until now. ( It's here, behind the cut... ) I remember first reading that poem in my eighth-grade English class, and fell in love with it even then. I'm not sure why, perhaps it's the very descriptive passages full of imagery that are found all throughout the poem, perhaps it's the figure of the highwayman in general, I don't know. Either way, I think it's a really beautiful poem.
It's only 6:45, fifteen till seven, and I'm absolutely exhausted, and am finding it quite difficult to stop yawning. I didn't get a whole lot of sleep last night--five hours or so--which probably has something, if not everything, to do with it. I ended up going to bed much later than was intended, too. Perhaps a nap is in order. I'm thinking definitely. Ah well, it has just been reported that dinner is ready, so I must end this now and go partake in the yummy delisciousness of yummy tasty food, I can't wait.
More when it happens.

Jan. 11th, 2005 10:31 pmWow, thre entries in one day, I think that's a record for me. If not, it's close.
Not too much to report, though. I'm currently wriring this listening to the Arkansas Vs. Alabama basketball game. Of course I didn't even know it was on in the first place, so I'm only getting to "see" the last half. Alabama is in the lead by five points, but hopefully that will change, I don't know.
The nap I mentioned earlier I don't think happened, but I am more tired than I was earlier, and maybe I dozed off while reading, I'm not sure. Either way, I think after this game is over, I'll shortly be going to bed.
Tomorrow I have an appointment with my Voc Rehab counselor. The appointment is at 11:00, and I scheduled my ride to pick me up at 10:00. For some reason, you have to schedule your ride an hour before your actual appointment. I wonder if they'll actually show up on time, or if I'll end up getting there late? I'll probably be fine, because it's late enough in the day that rush hour is over, and things are I think usually somewhat calmer midday.
Other than that, I think my sister and I will go have our ID cards redone--they expired on our Birthday. If not tomorrow, I need to get that done before I leave on Saturday. I also have to finish the UofD transfer application. The only thing I have to finish is an essay question--I finished the rest of it today.
And so that brings me to the end of another entry. I'll update at some point later. I'm off to finish "watching" the game.
Stay tuned, more tomorrow.
