I'm not sure why, but as of late I've not been able to come up with any subjects, (be they witty or not), for my entries.  Sometimes certain subjects can add substance to an entry, but I don't think any of my more recent entries have lacked anything because of their subjectlessness.

Today I haven't done much of anything at all, except spend most of the hours in the company of my MP3 player reading.  I'm on book 5 of Dark Tower, and I'm hoping to finish it by week's end, but only time will tell.  I also completed a scholarship application, (the one I had been meaning to complete for awhile now).  I still have to send in the supporting documentation--transcripts, proof of my disability, and a letter of recommendation--but that's the easy part.  The hard part--my essay--is finished and sent.  Whether I'll actually get the scholarship or not is out of my hands, but hey, at least I applied.

Other than that, not too much is going on.  Katerina, (one of our many dogs around here), had to get a "procedure" done today on her left ear.  She has chronic ear infections, and it got so bad that they had to clean her one ear out.  You would never know she was under anesthesia, though, because she came home as perky and like herself as usual, wiggling and wagging her tail.  The vet gave her a "new drug" that is said to reverse the affect of the anesthesia, and it definitely did the trick.  I didn't even know they had such drugs; it's a shame they don't have them for people, but who knows, maybe they do, or will sometime in the not-so-distant future.  I've not had a surgery or even been in the hospital that I can remember, ::knock on wood::, so I wouldn't know what it's like from experience, ::again, knock on wood::.  I was in the hospital when I was younger--the first time for the first five or so months of my life actually, and another time I was told about for an eye infection that I had.  When I had the eye infection, (if I remember being told correctly), I went into the hospital and was put into the same room with my sister Kathryn, because she was already in for one reason or another.  I think I was actually lucky to go in when I did, because had it been any later, the infection would have become more serious.  Of course my mom was the first person to realize that it was an infection in the first place.  It's cut, if only to spare length on my Friends' page. )  I really didn't expect to go on like that, but sometimes writing and thinking about one thing will trigger another memory, which, in turn, triggers another . . . on and on.

Olivia hasn't been too bad today, although I have had to scold her for being in the kitchen and going downstairs to the basement, (both of which she knows she isn't suppose to do).

All of that brings me to now, where I'm currently sitting here, talking to people via Skype whilst writing this.  I don't really have anything to do tonight, so mayhap I'll go to bed early for a change.  I am actually quite tired, so this might not be too hard to accomplish.  SOme of tomorrow's plans, (all that I know of at the moment, anyway), include calling Olivia's vet here and having proof that she did, in fact, have a heartworm test done a few weeks ago when I took her sent to Guiding Eyes, and I guess I should continue filling out the University of Delaware application.  The first part is done, I just need to work on the second part.  Other than that, I'll of course continue rreading, but that really isn't anything new, is it?  I'll also continue enjoying my time off before the insanity that is sure to be next semester ensues.

Oh, I almost forgot, today for dinner my mom suggested we eat cheese stakes, and my cheese stake was really yummy.  I actually don't know when the last time was that I have eaten one, aside from tonight, but I'd forgotten how good--and filling--they actually are.
With that, I'll close.
Take care, and join me tomorrow for the next installment of: "The Life and Times of Yours Truly " :).
