I have been feeding Blue Buffalo since Meg's bout with what I eventually called "the periodic pukeys" in 2005-2006. The vet eventually suggested she might have an allergy to salmon, and I combed the aisles for foods without salmon or "fish meal," which I felt may be a nondescript and at the the time wasn't willing to risk trusting. At the time I only found two foods. Blue had the added bonus of also including glucosamine, which was good for her since she was also dealing with arthritis. When I got Loretta, I just kept feeding it. My cats are also on it, and the benefits to the coats are amazing. When all the recall stuff went on, Blue only had one product recalled, a kitten food. This made me feel a lot better about what I was feeding.
It does include some grains (not corn but some other non-allergenic grains), so if you're looking for a grainless food this is not the food for you.
