The past few days have been fairly busy what with me being in DC and such. After judo and goalball practice on Saturday, I took a train to Baltimore. I had no idea it was supposed to snow until shortly before I was to get on the train. Thankfully no complications arose, and I made it there safely. Saturday night was spent in the good company of a friend, even though the visit was rediculously short. Still, a visit is a visit...

Sunday morning I headed out and into DC. That journey was without mishap, either. It was really great getting to spend time with friends and making new ones. The three roommates I had were friends of a mutual friend, and the four of us got along very well. Our state legislative appointment on Tuesday went well, too, I think. I was even brave enough to bring up some points that I thought were important. I guess we will know in due time if what we said had any affect.

Yesterday evening some of my family got together for dinner and to play games. It's something we've wanted to do in more frequency, but have truthfully only done twice now. It's really fun, there are a lot of laughs involved, and I really do hope we do it more often. It's nice to spend time with everyone and forget any stressful things or whatever that might be going on for awhile.

Other than that, I'm not too sure. The weather forecast is saying that starting tomorrow sometime and through Saturday we are supposed to get lots of snow dumped on us. I have a monthly meeting tomorrow morning that's an hour or so drive from here, and so I really hope it doesn't get canceled, mainly because we didn't have one last month. I didn't know it was canceled until after the fact, when I got an email saying "by now, everyone knows that our last meeting was canceled," but that's a whole different story. I did feel bad, because I had forgotten to make Paratransit reservations to said meeting, and only remembered about it at 11:30 at night, when I couldn't do anything about it. We don't have the luxury of same-day rides here, either. Ah well, these things happen.

I'm still awating my GRE score, which part of me wants to find out about and the other doesn't. It is what it is. I'm also waiting on the library to send me a book I ordered. It's been a few weeks since I ordered it. Perhaps someone else has it, I don't know. Either way, I really want a Braille book to read in addition to the audio reading I am constantly doing.

You know, this writing an entry thing isn't so bad. I really do think I can do it more often. I had meant to ask my readership: Is there anything that I write about that you would want to know more about? Is there anything that I don't write about that you would want to see me start? I'm off very shortly to go to my last former university to put in a transcript request to have one sent to the second grad school I'm applying to. Right now, they only know that I went to Ithaca College for two years and didn't actualy graduate. I'm sure that looks weird, especially given my application to the graduate studies department and taking of the GRE. I hope all of you are doing well. Take care all, more soon.
