An actual update, shocking I know
Oct. 19th, 2008 02:23 pmI haven't written in here in what seems like ages. It's not because I haven't wanted to or have been really busy, it's really just because there isn't too much going on in my life that would be that interesting to write about, to me anyway. I'm still looking for work, (that may or may not prove successfuly soon, and if it does, I'll let you know), and other than that, I spend my days relaxing, running errands when necessary, reading, hanging out with family and friends, spending time on the computer, (although I've been slightly MIA on messengers lately, yes, I do realize that), and other such things that crop up from time to time. I just don't like writing when there really hasn't been anything going on or when it feels like there wouldn't be much substance to the entries. I do want to still have a Friends' page to read, after all.
The weather of late is definitely proof that Winter will be here soon. My dog thoroughly enjoys the colder weather, which I find pretty interesting, although she was raised in Maine, so I guess that would explain that. It's like her excitement to work in colder weather quadruples as evidence of her very awesome pull in harness. She's awesome, though, really she is. I should get some recent pictures of her up here at some point, when I can get the pictures, that is.
I, too, love the colder weather and the time of Fall when it turns into Winter. I enjoy each season for different reasons, but there's just something about this time of year that, to me, seems more magical, I don't know. I can't really even explain it.
I've caught up on Friends' page, and I'm glad to see you all are doing well, or relatively anyway. Happy Birthday to
poetprodigy7 and
sophiahagia. I hope you both have good days.
Tomorrow I've been invited to a dinner that is a benefit for one of the local technology grant companies around here. My grandfather is a part of the board, and the company in question does a lot of work for Guiding Eyes, where I've gotten both of my dogs. The event should be fun, and I'm bringing Olivia with me, apparently by request or something. I would bring her anyway, more than likely, though, even so.
I think that's about it for now. I should get off of here and go find lunch and then maybe read a bit. I want to also make some phone calls this afternoon before a conference call I'm in charge of later tonight. More later.
