I haven't made a text post in here in awhile, aside from what gets posted in here from Twitter, but that doesn't really count, in my opinion.

I haven't written too much lately because, in all honesty, not a lot has been going on. I wish my life were more interesting, but for the time being, it's been quiet. Sometimes that's a good thing, but at other times, it would be nice to have a bit more excitement. I still continue to help out with the Braille class on Monday afternoons, (luckily I was able to call this morning and schedule my ride for tomorrow as I forgot to do it beforehand), and I also continue to do a lot of reading, which I'm definitely enjoying. I'm in the middle of A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court by Mark Twain, and this book about the plague epidemic that is very interesting and fascinating. I'm still on the hunt for a job, and nothing has come up yet to make that be a success. I'll keep looking, though.

The more I think about it, the more I'm coming to the conclusion that I won't be able to make the Guiding Eyes walkathon, which saddens me probably more than it should. It is a big deal to me, though, because those people are honestly like part of my extended family. I'm still trying to see if there isn't a way I could get there on Saturday night, after the Sports Day event which I will be attending, (I'd most likely get there either after or during the banquet, which honestly doesn't really bother me - as long as I'd be there for Sunday), but I'm still not sure. Yay for the state of the economy and the fact that I have no job. The lack of funds, though, is honestly the main reason it's hard. Ah well, there's always next year. I just wish this didn't bum me out as much as it does.

I'm not too sure what else to update on. There's Friday's presidential debate, which I did watch. I thought that Obama did well, and the outcome of the debate didn't sway my decision of who I'm voting for in the least. I doubt anything could at this point in all honesty. I don't really want to go into debate analysis, but I will say that at least Obama had the decency to look directly at McCain when he gave his answers. Oh yeah, and I thought it was really funny at the point when Obama was answering a question directing his answer at McCain and addressing him in the third person, and the moderator pushed Obama to direct it at McCain personally, which Obama did, repeating the same thing he'd just said, not chainging the wording at all, except to refer to him as "John." That amused me, it really did. This Thursday's debate should definitely be..uh...entertaining? Yeah, that works. I have a feeling Biden will run circles around Palin, if the interview she did with Katie Couric is any indication. I did watch said interview in youtube, though, and that, also, was entertaining. She knows about foreign policy because Alaska borders Canada and Russia and because planes fly over Alaska en route to said countries? Uh, yeah, right, okay, because I definitely see the correlation there...EXCEPT THAT I SO DON'T!! Get real! Alright, I'll get off my soapbox now. I'll be watching on Thursday, you can be sure.

I think that's about all for this entry. I'm not too sure what plans for the day include, but perhaps something will be figured out. The plan for right now, I think, is food soon and then maybe do some more reading. I'll be back sooner rather than later. Take care all.
