Reading update

I finished the book Gone with the Wind tonight. I can definitely see why it's considered a classic. I was honestly surprised at its ending, but liked it all the same. Its ending was also slightly sad, but you have that sometimes. I'm also in the middle of reading Fahrenheit 451, in audio format. (I read Gone with the Wind mostly in hardcopy, but when I got halfway through volume eight and then into nine, I guess you could say I "cheated" and read an electronic copy of it on the computer, yay for Web Braille!). Back to Fahrenheit 451, though; it's interesting to me that firemen in that book actually start fires, children have a propencity to kill one another, and people get pulled over by going 40 miles per hour as going to slow when the speed limit must be something really high. Fun times for sure; yay for sci fi! I now need to figure out what to read next as I like to read more than one book, it keeps things interesting.

Tonight I talked to a friend whom I haven't been in touch with in awhile, which made me happy as I consider her a very close friend and would hate to lose touch with her. Her life has been crazy as of late it seems, and I was glad that I could provide her a listening ear and comfort. She's someone who I went in guide dog class with the second time round, when I went for Liv.

I'm again wide awake for some odd reason, when I need to be up tomorrow by nine at the latest for goalball practice and a scrimmage that we're playing with some girls from New Jersey. I may or may not be contradicting myself here again, and could be in bed witnin the hour, I'm not sure. I guess it's time to take out the dog and at least think about turning in, though I really am not tired... Ah well. Take care all, more later. Oh yes, a Happy Birthday goes out to singerofsongs.
