I just got back from the grocery store with a friend, and while attempting to get cash out of the ATM machine across the street, (there's an ATM for my regular bank in the store, but my card wouldn't work in it for whatever reason, and thinking nothing of it, we went to the PNC), I came to the conclusion that last week when I tore up what I thought was my old ATM card, (I got a new one recently) I tore up my new card instead of my old one. The card that I had wouldn't work at the PNC, either, and on the second time trying, the machine actually ate it. I could swear it was the new card, though, because it's the exact card I used yesterday at Right Aid to pick up my prescription, and all went well - that transaction shows up on my statement and everything. I'm so mad at myself I could scream! I'm not sure how to even rectify the situation; I guess I'll need to call the bank in the morning and let them know what happened. I just hope they won't charge me for a new card. Had I been able to see the card in the first place and had read the experation date, I would have known which card was which. Needless to say, I'm mildly annoyed. This means that I can't get money out until I get a new card, which will take I have no idea how long. Thanks to online banking I was able to get money transferred over so that least when they cash the rent check, that will be fine. I feel really weird without my card, though. I'm just slightly annoyed and irritated at the moment.
On top of that, I'm still not feeling completely 100% even though I went to the doctor yesterday. I called in the morning and was told that because I'm a new patient, I wouldn't be able to be seen by March, even though I had clearly stated that I was almost positive I had an ear infection. It turned out that I shouldn't even have been told that, especially given the nature of the proposed visit. I did get an appointment, and it turns out that while I don't have an infection, there is fluid behind the ear. I'm on antibiotics to clear it up and I also got decongestant medication, and I only realized today that I can take two tablets per dose instead of one. NO wonder it wasn't really doing anything! I'm such a mess!
Alright, I think that's about it. I'm going to go post this and hope that nothing more catestrophic happens to me for the rest of the night. I do apologize for the perhaps slight vulgarity of the subject line.
