QFC anyone?
Jul. 27th, 2006 01:19 amHey people:
I don't really even know why I'm updating now, but I am. The subject might seem slightly random, but I'll explain in a minute.
The first day of the conference today went well enough I suppose. There are very interesting people here, which makes for interesting times. The presentation I went to today on transition to work after college was I think somewhat informative, so that's a good thing.
The dining hall here isn't cool at all, you pay for what you get; you can't come back and get whatever you want, it's a pay-as-you-go kind of thing. Lunches are apparently boxed, which isn't to cool, but ah well, I can't complain I guess. I dropped my first turkey sandwich on the floor today while I was de-tomatoing it, so I had to get another one, which I was able to actually de-tomatoe and consume afterwards, so yay to that. I sat with and talked to really interesting people at lunch, which was very nifty.
As for the subject, after dinner tonight, (which wasn't to tasty unfortunately), a bunch of us went down to UVillege, which is near the campus. While walking, we passed a building called QFC. I wondered if it had anything to do with a KFC imposture, but it turned out to be a grocery store. I just think it's really funny that there's a place called QFC...
I think I'm finished with this update, though. I just wanted to write about QFC. Jared, Peter and I are hanging out, and I want to go and be social, or at least not write this anymore. I'll be sure to be back with something soon, though. Take care, and I hope you are all doing well. Thanks to Kathy, Tricia and AJ for your last comments, replies will come in due time. Until then, more later.
