I decided to actually take the time and put a written appearance in this thing. I apologize for my scarce written presence as of late, but as I said in my last voice post, by the time I think about and actually get around to updating, I've spent all day at the computer that the last thing I really want to do is sit down at it some more and write. I'd even go so far as to say that my boyfriend probably updates more regularly than I do, but maybe that's not necesarily a bad thing.

Things as of late have been fine: work is work, and the time after work is spent relaxing and whatnot, which is good. I've lately reconnected with my friend Pat, and that's been nice. He went to Ithaca with me and graduated the year that I left. Speaking of work, we have to present on our research projects next Friday, so coming up with an actual presentation should be somewhat interesting. Hopefully we do okay. I have some idea of how it could possibly go, and I definitely think we should use PowerPoint to present, but I'll ask my fellow group memters tomorrow and see what they think. We have a meeting with the head professor tomorrow, so I'm sure we can get some ideas then.

I also got sunburned on Saturday, which wasn't too fun. I laid by the pool and didn't swim--I didn't really feel like it and just wanted to relax, and the pool was too crowded for my taste anyway, and I really don't like public pools in all honesty--but I didn't put sunscrene on--as usual--and got burned. I swear, next time I'm going to actually put it on... I really hate touching the stuff, though, which is why I usually don't put it on. I was sore for a few days, but it's going away pretty nicely, which is a good thing for sure.

The package that my Mom sent on Friday arrived today, and with the help of one of the guys here, (thanks again, even though you may or may not ever read this), I was able to go over to get it from Accademic Support. Liv came also, and she was glad to see everyone there, as were they glad to see her. She even got dog treats from them, so it must not have been all bad.

As seems to be customary with me as of late, I got caught in the rain on my way home from work. I would have been fine and dry had it not been for the fact that I left my flash drive in Williams and so wanted to go back and get it. It probably would have been fine there overnight, but I'm really anal about having to have things in their places, with me at all times, so there was no way I was going to say "screw it" and get it tomorrow--I would have worried about it all night. (Any of you who know me well enough can probably vouch for the truth of that statement). Anyway, I went to get it, and I had just retreived it, walked outside, and started home when buckets upon buckets commenced to pour down from the sky, leaving me and my Labrador more than slightly soaked. I've come to the conclusion that Liv really doesn't like rain, as I think she tried to duck into the Campus Center to try and stay dry instead of continuing to walk home. After some coaxing on my part, I was able to reason wit her, and she and I headed home, she even getting me to the right path--there actually isn't a right or wrong path, there is just one that's more direct, and she likes to take the *other* one; I get to the same place either way, the direct route is, obviously, or maybe not obviously, a bit faster.

Upon arriving home and drying Liv off, I decided that I really did need a shower, and so took one, which was very refreshing. Once again feeling unbelievably clean, I checked email and talked to various people, including Peter, and Mom to thank her for the package. I went to dinner around 6:30 with Briana, my next-door neighbor, and we sat with some other people we knew who were already at the dining hall. We got ood and were eventually asked to leave the dining hall around seven or so--the woman said they'd closed a half hour ago, but I thought that's when they stop serving...go figure.

Aside from that, I came back here and put in my laundry as I wanted to wash the clothes that had gotten soaked from the result of the earlier very, very leaky sky. I've been laying down for the past while, listening to an Internet radio show and getting up once to check on laundry, and another time because Kathryn had messaged me. I want to thank whoever it was who took the time to put my clothes from the washer and into the dryer for me, it was appreciated. Laundry is free now anyway, so you don't need money. Still, though, whoever it was didn't have to do that, and I'm very appreciative. At first, I thought my clothes had been piled on top of the mound of clothes already on top of one of the washers, and I was slightly frustrated as I didn't really know how the crap I'd find everything that was mine, but then I looked in the one dryer that was on, and there my clothes were, all nice and dry. The time wasn't finished yet on the washer, but I took them out anyway. They're now all put away, and so I don't have to worry about that anymore.

With that, I think I'm out. I want to go lay down as I really am uncomfortable sitting up for some reason. My back is killing me, so I'm hoping laying down will help that. I'm also slightly--wel no, more than slightly--tired, so should maybe go to bed early. I already got my shower earlier, so don't have to do that. I think I'll read a bit and go to sleep, or maybe just try to sleep. If I fall asleep now, however, who knows what time I'll be up tomorrow? Alright, that's enough nonsensical babble from me for now, as I'm pretty sure that's what this whole entry has been. If not, well then good for me! I don't really even know what I'm writing anymore. I hope you all enjoyed this update, I hope to write--yes, actually write--more frequently. For now, though, it's off to get comfortable...
