This won't be much of an entry really, but I did want to come in and say that Kathryn and I did make it home yesterday, which was all find and good.

The rest of the night after my phone post wasn't too eventful, minus the joint phone call with Aaron and Peter, and the fact that I was really hungry, with the suggestion of both Aaron and Peter that I order room service. I honestly didn't want to spend a whole lot of money on food, (well it was actually Peter's money since he wouldn't let me pay for anything), but it ended up that Peter called from outside the hotel to order me food, a turkey and Swis cheese sandwich, mmm tasty, which it actually was. After he called, the hotel itself put a call up to our room, just to make sure that someone had, in fact, ordered the food requested. Apparently random people prank call room service into people who don't actually order it, so it was just a nice security measure. It's good to know all secure measures are taken, but it baffles me why someone would prank call a hotel like that. Thanks to the 24-hour dining service offered by the hotel, I did finally get food, and had a late snack or whatever you want to call it at 2:00-2:30 or so in the morning.

I had set my PacMate alarm for 8 yesterday morning, (I finally figured out how to do that; it really isn't hard), but ended up waking up around 7:00, go figure that one. It just ended up that I turned off said alarm, and figured I'd mise well wake up, I honestly didn't think I could have fallen back to sleep anyway. After going to bed around 3:00 that morning, however, I was slightly annoyed that I was up so early. I got up, got dressed and things, and even made coffee, yay for hotel coffee makers. My sister slept a bit longer than I did, (but when doesn't she really). I was somewhat hungry again, and despite Peter's insistance that I order room service again, I didn't do it. He didn't end up calling from outside either; instead, we ended up having Dunkin Donut's breakfast bagel sandwiches, which was perfectly fine with me.

We checked out of the hotel around 12, an hour after we were suppose to. I wasn't sure if it would matter at all, and it it didn't so all was well there. I was teased for the fact that I had made my bed and folded up the couch bed, as the maids would do it, but honestly, that's just habbit with me. I like to leave things the way I found them. It was definitely nice to be able to get out into the nice warm air that I was only able to get a glimpse of while sitting on the window sill next to the open window in our twelth story room.

We ended up spending the day walking around Philly, enjoying the day. It was too nice outside to not stay outside, at least in my opinion. We walked around various places, and ended the day with a visit to the Olive Garden, my first visit their in all truthfullness. I had their ministroni soup and a glass of their white signature wine, which went together and complemented one another perfectly if I do say so myself. I first tried a sample of it, and liked it, so decided to just have it with the meal. We have that restaurant around here, and there is actually one being built near my mom's house, so yay for that, I can go back quite easily. They also had good breadsticks. After the meal, (where I once again wasn't allowed to help with the bill), we left and headed to the train station to catch the train home.

The ride home wasn't that eventful--at least not as much as was the ride up--but those Septa trains sure don't stop at a place long let me tell you. Peter helped us on the train and all, and the train took off too fast for him to get off right away. He ended having to stay on for I think it was two stops before he was able to get off and head back the other way. He had informed the person working the train car at the time that Kathryn and I would need assistance off, and the guy had said sure, fine--no problem. He was getting off in Chester, but said he would tell the next person who came on the deal and things would be fine. It turned out, though, that no one helped us off, and after the fact when I thought about it, no stops were announced after Chester, so it turned out no other person came in the car to relieve that one dude. Luckily, a fellow passenger helped Kathryn and I off the train, and my mom came on the train again--and actually managed to get off since that was the train's last stop--to help us off also. The whole Septa people not helping us was definitely annoying, and that just means a second complaint to Septa within a 24-hour period. The train ride itself was pretty low key, aside from the person behind me singing to music in their headphones, (it's always amusing when people do that), and, at one stop, a father and kig got off, and were talking about who knows what, but the bit of conversation that I was able to catch was highly amusing.
/*
Kid: something to his dad.
Dad: Something back.
Kid: Well Dad, you know, if something doesn't have a reset button, you just bang it on the floor (or whatever it was) and reset it that way.
*/
It took me a lot not to crack up right then and there.

Last night, I went home for a bit, and then came back here once Kristen got off work. It turned out that Liv had been a good dog for the most part, which I was glad about. I got back to my dorm, and was actually just debating throwing my stuff on my bed and getting some sleep, that's how tired I was. (I didn't sleep at all on either of the train rides up or back). I unpacked anyway, and decided that if I slept right then, I probably would have regreted it later, so I turned my computer on, which I was debating not doing until later also, and ended up deleting a lot of email. I then laid down and watched some TV, thinking maybe I would fall asleep, but no, apparently not. A good part of the night was just spent watching TV, a show on this guy in Atlanta who was on trial for something and went on a rampage and ended up shooting 3 or 4 people, including a judge and prosecutor (sp?) I think. It was interesting, even if I only half paid attention. I got up at some point and ended up talking to a few people on the phone and computer before I ended up going to bed and actually being able to sleep sometime around one or 1:30 in the morning. Yay for a fun and enjoyable weekend, which it definitely was.

That brings me to now, sitting here, writing this. I woke up around 7:30, and honestly have no recollection really between then and about nine, so I'm thinking I fell back to sleep. I'm still feeling somewhat tired, but maybe once I wake up it won't be too bad. I can also maybe take a nap later if that ends up happening, naps are wonderful. As for today, I don't know what's on the plate. I don't have anything in the way of work I don't think, besides rereading for Modern Philosophy, which I'll probably do here in a bit. Kristen and I may go home at some point today also, so that should be fun. It's suppose to be nice out, so maybe I can sit outside on the deck and read some. Whatever I end up doing, I'm sure it will be something. That last sentence was terrible, I know, I'm sorry.

With that, I think I'm out. I should take out the dog, get dressed, and then reread this little bit so the rest of the day can be free for whatever opportunity to present itself. More soon.
