I was going to wait and just write tomorrow, (which, in all actually, I guess is really today), but I decided I'd write now instead.

Today, (or is it yesterday?), is/was a good day over all. Yeah yeah, I know, I should just pick one tense and stick with it and just get on with the entry, right? Hmm, which tense to use? I hate being picky, I really do. I guess I'll use past tense, since the day of January 25 has now been added onto the pile of "yesterdays".

Anyway, (now that that's been established), as I was saying... Yesterday was a good day over all. I've started reading Pratchett's sixth Discworld novel, (I really do love that series), and it's quite good so far, even though I'm not too into it yet. I didn't do too much besides that really' just relax. Oh, I almost forgot, I worked more on compiling the Java code I was working on the previous night, and I actually got it to run correctly, thanks to the help of a friend. I've now learned how to compile Java without the use of Windows batch files, very cool indeed. I really do think you learn something new every dday, no matter how small said thing happens to be.

I also received an email from the Washington D.C. internship saying that they would like to do a telephone interview with me. (YIKES!). I of course wrote them back, (after being somewhat in awe for a few minutes), and my interview has been scheduled for Wednesday, February 1, at 1:00 P.M. Eastern standard time. I shall make no plans for that day around that time, I'm truly sorry; this is important business I have to attend to. I'm somewhat nervous about said interview, but I hope I do well and things go smashingly. Prayers/happy thoughts that things will be fine are very much appreciated.

I also applied to a workshop for blind high school and college students and professionals in the math and science majors or something. I saw it on the blind programming list, and figured why not apply? It's interesting, though, because I applied, and my application is saved, but it didn't say I had to do anything else. Maybe I'm missing something? I'm not too sure, although I guess I'll find out sooner or later.

The family also went out to dinner tonight, which was fun and enjoyable. We went to a restaurant/bar, and I enjoyed myself eating food, listening to people make fools our of themselves singing karaoke, although some of the people were admittedly good at it, and spending time with the family, even if the waiter did keep kidding me that I should drink more of my drink. He kidded me in the first place because I chose to drink Smirnoff Ice while the others were drinking beer, I think it was Rolling Rock. I'm not much of a beer person, I can't help it. I like beer, but it has to be a "good" beer, whatever that is. Everyone had more than one drink, except me that is; it took me awhile to finish my first one, and I let Kristen drink the second one as I really didn't want to drink it. Am I weird? Maybe, but oh well :P.

With that, I think I'm out. It's late, I'm tired, and I should get to bed. I should also comb my hair before it dries. I have to be at the university this afternoon to work on more programming, but I'm actually somewhat looking forward to it, but then again, I compile old Java code for fun, so that should give you some idea... I've managed to get most of this one project done, there are just a few things I don't understand/need help on, and hopefully I'll get it all sorted out in due time. More soon for sure.
