It's Friday
Sep. 30th, 2005 09:14 amI couldn't come up with a more interesting/witty subject than that, so that will have to suffice, do forgive me.
I had wanted to write last night, but I either forgot to, or it just got too late and when I finally realized I hadn't written I was in bed, trying to go to sleep, and I definitely wasn't going to get back up again, (it was cold!). I did have a phone call at about 12:30 or so, and I'm pretty sure I was asleep because it didn't register until it had rung (or is it rang? I'm thinking it's rung...) a few times before I got up, got the phone, and put it back down, all the while thinking, 'Who the crap is calling me this late?' I didn't even answer it, just held it, staring at it, or what I guess would be a blind person's equivalent of staring anyway :). Actually, I do think I have the ability to stare, I just don't notice, something like that. I think I might know who it was that called, and I'll have to check with said person as to whether or not my theory is, indeed, correct or not.
I woke up today and got the feeling right off that today will be a good day. It's one of those crisp, somewhat chilly mornings that very much reminds me of mornings in Ithaca. I got the feeling last night, too, because it was somewhat cold out. It isn't just the cold, (although anything remotely cold *does* tend to make me think of Ithaca), it's just a feeling that I can't really explain in words and I'm not sure if I even want to, because I'm thinking if I did, its beauty would be lost. Speaking of cold, I really need to go home and dig out some of my clothes that are more suitable for such weather, because I don't have much in the way of that here. This should be relatively easy to do, however, because home is, (according to both Kristen and my mom), eight minutes away, much more manageable then 4+ hours that's for sure. My mom has informed me that she does miss the drive up there--I've heard it's quite pretty. Perhaps I'll go visit sometime, who knows?
I have my usual two classes today and a Moobility lesson afterwards, so it shouldn't be too bad. Aside from that, I don't know what else is planned for the day. I may or may not meet my mom so that she can give me the box for my Pac Mate and we can ship it out today, but I guess that'll depend on her schedule and mine. If not, I can just ship it out tomorrow. I managed to put all of the files with my class notes on my flash card as text files, (for some reason the BrailleNote wasn't happy with the .rtf's I gave it, and I'm not too sure why since it can read them usually just fine), so I can take notes in the files that have the previous notes already and not have to worry about making new files and having a lot of different files that I don't need. I just have the original .fsd files and their .txt equivalents. Why any of you cared or wanted to read about that is totally beyond me, but one is allowed to write about nonsensical, trivial things in one's journal once in awhile, and maybe that last bit was entertaining, I don't know. I also still need to go to the bank to take care of some financial matters as well.
With that, I think I'll exit stabe left, go get some breakfast (chereios, mmm tasty), and turn on the TV and see what interesting "educational" programming is on at this hour. My sister just called me, informing me to be outside to let her in. More later.
