It's been ages and ages and ages since I've provided myself and you, my faithful readers, (that is if I have any left by now), an update in this thing. I haven't been extremely busy, but sometimes life just gets in the way and you can't do anything about it accept deal with things and, consequently, other things get pushed aside.

I'm now at university, where I've survived the first week of classes, which went very well. I like all of my classes thus far: Technology and Culture, Intro to Computer Science, (most or a lot of which I think will be somewhat easy seeing as how it's a mid-level course, I've had a lot of what I think we'll be covering before, and I took some more advanced CS classes at Ithaca), History of the Civil Rights Movement, Intro to Linguistics, and Geological Hazards. All of the professors seem nice, which is definitely a good thing. I'm slowly and surely learning my way around campus. It's just somewhat frustrating, because I went from a campus that I knew how to get around having been there for two years, and now I'm here, and it feels somewhat like I'm starting over, even though I'm a junior, and have already done the whole college thing for two years previous. Ah well, it'll all be fine I'm sure, and I'll get the hang of things soonishly.

My dorm is nice, (yay for singles), and the people on my floor are really nice and helpful as well. On one of the very first nights I was here, someone made a reference that Olivia was "our" dog, which leads me to believe that Liv has won everyone over in a very short time. I've made a few friens on my floor in my building, and that's definitely a nice feeling indeed.

Hmm, what else? Not too much really. I don't have too much work to do over the long weekend, which I guess is good. One of the books for my Linguistics class isn't even in the bookstore yet, so I don't have it, and am unable to read the two assigned chapters for Tuesday. I feel kind of bad about that, (yeah, I'm weird--I know), but I can't really do anything about it. I actually put in a request to have a copy of the book delivered to the local library, so I can then just scan it, saving myself the expensive of buying the book. Speaking of expensive, Social Security denied me SSI again, how very very verily annoying. I really hate dealing with red tape, it's rediculus. Ah well, I'll figure out how to win that battle I'm sure.

In other news, my Braille display for my Pac Mate has decided that dot 3 on the 25th cell of my 40-cel display doesn't want to show up, no matter what I do. Even when I put it in cleaning mode, it won't come up. I just noticed this strange behavior yesterday while taking notes in class. Needless to say, FS will be getting a call from me on Tuesday asking what I need to do--if I have to send it in, (which I'm guessing I do), and if they can either fix it or send me a new one. It's still under warranty, so I really hope I don't have to pay anything for it. I use the display a lot, so it's kind of crucial that it works. Apparently this behavior isn't uncommon, I've heard other people have the same thing happen, too.

And that's about all from here. I really should get back into the habbit of writing more frequently again, it's good for me. More sooner than later, I swear.
