May. 14th, 2005 11:21 pmI most definitely wouldn't be lying if I said that I did absolutely nothing today except read, eat, and talk on the phone to various people, but I mostly spent my day plowing through Dark Tower. I am now two-thirds through the seventh book, and I may even finish it tonight, which is, I know, more or less pretty amazing seeing how long it's taken me to finish the series from when I started it.
One of my friends who I haven't talked to since I think maybe two years ago called me out of the blue today, interrupting me from my reading date with Roland and the rest of his kah-tet in the adventures along their quest for the Dark Tower, but it was really good to talk to him, and I might even get together with him sometime next week, or definitely sometime this summer. What is not cool, not cool at all in fact, is that, unfortunately for me, my right leg/ankle has been very much hurting me today, and I'm not much liking it. I can tell it's swollen, although I think it feels a lot more swollen to me than what it actually is, but it isn't too fun to walk on. It doesn't really hurt exactly, it isn't a stabbing pain, but it's a hurt nonetheless. If I lay down and don't move, I can bear it somewhat, but when I get up and walk on it, or sit down, it's just plain annoying :(. It's the same ankle I twisted/sprained during Fall semester, and as far as I know, I didn't do anything to hurt it. Hopefully it isn't anything too serious as I really don't want to go see a doctor. I don't know why, but I'm not too fond of doctors. They don't scare me per say, but oh, I don't know, I can't really explain it, sometimes they're just erie. I guess if it comes to that, fine, but maybe it won't, I don't know.
I think it's suppose to storm tonight, and mayhap even pretty badly. I can definitely report that it was raining somewhat hard when I took my dog out a few minutes ago while in the company of
djner, with whom I was talking on the phone at the time. Not that I need to talk to someone when I'm taking my dog out to pee, he just happened to call right before then, and my mom happened to yell up that it might be a good idea to take Liv out before the storms come, and so I did, thus taking him with me. Very romantic? No, I'm thinking not, but if you can share a moment such as that with someone whom you care about, it has to count for something, right? Cell phones are great:).
Alright, I'm going to go continue reading. More when I have it.
