It's been so long since I've updated this thing that I really have no clue where to start. That, and a lot has happened in between then and now that it would probably be near impossible to cover it all day by day, event by event, detail by detail. Nonetheless, I felt the urge to write, which is what I am doing now. I haven't been the greatest at keeping this thing update and current, and keeping you, my readers and fans, in the loop of all of the happenings, trials and tribulations of my day-to-day life, but I can assure you--and you can see for yourself--that I am still alive, which counts for something, right?
School and the workload continues--at least until this day is over as it is my last day for classes--to go well, and I'm progressing in my classes, and learning new things, and generally enjoying myself all around. I will definitely miss it here when I'm gone next year, but that's for another time, another entry. I've also managed, in between my busy schedule of classes, work, schoolwork, and whatever else I have had to do, to spend time with my friends here, and if I haven't said it lately, you guys are awesome :). You know who you are. There are a lot of people I'll miss next year--but again, this is neither the time nor the entry for that.
As I said in the beginning, it's been so long since I've written that I don't really know what to write about or recap for you all. My Easter was nice; I had dinner with some of the members of the Protestant Community here, and it was a good meal. I need to add, (partly because I guess it's somewhat noteworthy, and partly because I want to be able to remember years later when I will read this whole journal and be amazed, very amazed, at what I wrote), that Easter shall be remembered as the first day in I don't even know how many years that I tried salad for the first time since I tried it and didn't like it, and so just never ate it. I know, call me weird, but it's true. I can say, though, that I actually liked the salad--it wasn't too bad :).
Other than that, my life hasn't been too eventful, unless you want to cound my getting locked in a classroom with one of my professors two weeks or so ago after everyone else had left the room. It was pretty amusing actually, and we had to call the maintenance people to send someone over to get us out. The room that we were locked in didn't have any windos, which was a bit creepy, especially if it had been a bigger emergency, and we were stuck in there. Ah well, it wasn't anything too terrible, and I obviously got out, because I'm writing this update, so things must not have been that bad. An even more amusing thing about the whole thing is that this happened the day after I had just got done telling
djner that my life really wasn't too exciting at the present time. I guess I spoke too soon.
Other than that, things have continued on as usual:
This week is the last week of classes for me, my last two classes of the semester being this afternoon. I have a few finals, some take home, a presentation, and I have to finish my Java program that's actually almost done before I can claim official freedom for the next four months, whereupon I shall commence, after arriving home, to become really utterly and extremely bored starting Monday, May 9. There actually are things I need to do this summer--learning a whole new campus being one of the more scary but unfortunately inevitable--but I'm not sure if I'll be able to find a job, or what I'll do. I was debating taking summer classes, but I'm not sure when the deadline for that is, and I'm not even a registered student yet, I don't think. Either way, I need to find something to do for the next four or so months, because if not, I will become very very very bored, and probably even end up losing my insanity before the summer is even half over. Suggestions for what to do are most definitely welcome. I will of course have time now to read more than I do now--which reminds me, I didn't mention; I'm on book seven of the Dark Tower series now, the last book. I finished book Six in a record of seven days or so. And no comments from the peanut gallery please. I'll finish the book this summer for sure, maybe even sooner than later.
On an unfortunate, and very sad note, this week hasn't exactly been one of the best for me. School is fine, it's just other things--one in particular actually--that have happened that haven't exactly been fun. The week started out fine enough, but on Tuesday, I found out that a student here who I knew personally had died, and I've been taking it much harder than I originally thought I would. He was a really nice guy. He was in one of my classes last semester, (he was in my group for a project we had to do), and we talked online some as well. I had just talked to him Sunday, and...well... Needless to say, that has made it a bit difficult to concentrate on much of anything school-related lately, but I guess given the circumstances, that's to be expected, and definitely understandable. I don't really have that much work to do, but I'm planning on getting most ,if not all of it done this weekend.
I know that I don't talk to some of you all that often, probably not as much as I should--I'm really somewhat bad about keeping in touch--but this has just made me stop and think again about how we really are only guaranteed the present, and if we don't tell people what we want, or how we really feel, or think that we'll just tell them tomorrow, it might never get said. I guess I should really be better about keeping in touch with everyone and not getting so wrapped up in schoolwork and everything. I'm sorry.
I did go to a concert band concert last night, which was really awesome, by the way.
I hope everyone is doing relatively well, I haven't exactly been keeping up with the Friends' page too much lately.
That's all for the moment, more when I have it.

Class, work, eat, sleep, class, work, eat, sleep, class, work, eat. . ....I think you get the idea.
